• Act as a senior actuarial advisor to Bermuda management and cross functional stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to MetLife Actuarial Practice Standards and governance requirements for Bermuda actuarial activities.
• Perform appropriate functional actuarial duties for global and regional operations as required.Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
• Qualified actuary or deemed equivalent by virtue of at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience performing actuarial functions at a level comparable to a qualified actuary in life and/or reinsurance markets.
• Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or other numeric field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Bermuda solvency, capital, and valuation requirements applicable to life re/insurance entities.
• Familiarity with Bermuda domiciled life/annuity re/insurance structures, including affiliated and third-party arrangements.
• Experience with economic capital, scenario testing, and stress testing for long duration re/insurance liabilities.
• Experience supporting regulatory reporting and reviews in Bermuda or comparable jurisdictions, with strong understanding of regulatory actuarial governance and control standards.
