AXIS’ Bermuda based Group Reporting & Internal Controls team upholds the highest standards of financial reporting integrity, governance, and control effectiveness across the organization. AXIS are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to be a significant contributor to many aspects of the Company’s SEC reporting process, with an emphasis on accounting, analysis and reporting for the Company’s share-based compensation plan. This role contributes directly to AXIS Capital’s financial reporting quality and governance. Key Duties and Responsibilities include preparing monthly accounting, analysis and reporting for the Company’s share-based compensation plan, coordinating with Human Resources to ensure completeness of data related to the share-based compensation plan, assisting with U.S. GAAP accounting research related to share-based compensation, completing the Group’s consolidation, administration of Company’s Workiva reporting platform, preparing Forms 10-K and 10-Q, quarterly earnings press releases, and investor financial supplements, preparing presentations for Audit Committee and Board meetings, partnering with Investor Relations for quarterly earnings processes and investor calls, and supporting quarterly reviews and annual audit performed by the Company’s external auditors. Minimum Qualifications & Experience include an internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA or equivalent), a minimum of two (2) years post-qualification experience in (re)insurance, experience in accounting and reporting for share-based compensation, strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, strong knowledge of SOX requirements, and exposure to Wdesk, Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle general ledger systems is preferred, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and accuracy, and willingness to work extended hours during peak reporting cycles. AXIS operates in a hybrid work environment, and the successful candidate will be required to work in the office a minimum of three (3) days per week.
