Legal & General Resources Bermuda Ltd., is a Bermuda-based specialist life reinsurer providing life reinsurance solutions to clients in the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada. As an Actuarial Graduate, you’ll be supported by experienced actuaries and work as part of a collaborative team, as you develop deep technical expertise in pricing and reinsurance business. You’ll be actively supported in your professional development, including exam progression and exposure to cutting edge technology. This position assists in the pricing of annuity, longevity, and protection or mortality reinsurance opportunities. It involves supporting pricing systems and processes through the review of existing systems and the development and implementation of new ones. The successful candidate will also provide technical support to the claims team and actuarial support across the business by contributing to business planning, reporting, and drafting of Committee and Board papers.
Requirements
An undergraduate degree in a numerate subject, with a strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.6 on a 4.0 scale or a 2.1 graded UK degree). A keen interest in pursuing a career as a qualified Life Actuary. Strong working knowledge of Excel. Ability to build effective professional relationships, manage internal stakeholders confidently, and balance independent work. Commercially aware and curious, with an interest in understanding the broader economic, market, and regulatory environment.
