In 2024, Lincoln launched Lincoln Pinehurst Reinsurance Company (Bermuda) Limited ("LPINE" or "Lincoln Pinehurst"). As our AVP, Actuary Valuation, this role will have the opportunity to lead and develop LPINE's modeling and valuation frameworks and contribute to the strategic growth of the Company. This person will assume ownership of LPINE's valuation framework and provide subject matter expertise and direction on large-scale projects/initiatives. The AVP, Actuary Valuation will lead a team of individuals to perform complex actuarial analysis and identify / implement improvements. What you'll be doing: • Lead the LPINE valuation team with responsibility for the production of actuarial valuation outputs and regulatory filings. • Proactively monitor model performance and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy / timing/detail. • Lead any development and testing efforts and communicate the changes to stakeholders. • Work closely with the Pricing Team to further develop pricing capabilities that utilize LPINE's valuation platform to produce pricing-specific results for new transactions and ongoing flow arrangements. • Maintain expert knowledge on current and emerging developments and trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility. • Provide subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders. • Lead and participate in company projects and assignments as required. What we're looking for: Must-haves: • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in relevant field, e.g., Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative major. • Qualified actuary - FSA, FIA, or other internationally recognized actuarial Fellowship. 8+ years of actuarial experience directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this position with demonstrated leadership. • Exposure to insurance products including life insurance, annuities and workplace solutions. • Knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, with demonstrated ability to assess impacts, and collaborate with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. • Demonstrated ability to direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives. • Demonstrated ability to identify and direct the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit. • Demonstrated ability to provide subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments and projects. • Demonstrated ability to provide direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capabilities.
