The Everen Group invites applications for the position of Actuarial Analyst. As part of the Actuarial & Catastrophe Modeling Team you will work on actuarial and capital modeling projects and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal direction. Key Responsibilities: Enhance proprietary loss models, and capital models. Work with the Actuarial team to perform quarterly loss reserve reviews by line of business including data management, large loss analyses and quarterly change analyses. Provide actuarial support to evaluate the financial implications of business decisions. Analyze data to assess the financial implications of future events and potential impacts to the Rating & Premium Plan. Work with various departments to update rating agency and regulatory capital models. Enhance the actuarial modeling workflow, automate processes and increase operational and reporting efficiencies. Other related duties, as required.

Requirements

University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Risk Management or similar field. Minimum of three years work experience within the property/casualty (re)insurance, brokerage or consulting sector in an Actuarial or similar role. Successful completion of at least three actuarial exams with a firm commitment to attaining an actuarial credential (ACAS, FCAS or FIA). Some experience with capital modeling software (preferably MetaRisk or ReMetrica). Some experience with programming languages (preferably R or Python). Highly proficient in Excel and MS Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
