The MarketPlace Ltd is one of the largest retailers in Bermuda. The company is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join and take a leadership role within the finance team. The candidate selected will be a key member of both financial and operational management teams and responsible for adherence to internal controls, accounting processes and all payable and treasury functions of the retail business. The position reports to the Financial Controller and CFO.

Requirements

Key Qualifications: Must have an internationally recognized accounting qualification (i.e. CPA, CA; CPA, CMA, CGA, CIMA), with at least three years' post-qualification experience in a senior financial role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent ability to respond quickly in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, dealing with multiple stakeholders. Must have a proven track record of building and supporting programs that have created financial successes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage relationships throughout the organization. Detail oriented with the commitment and motivation to ensure work is completed to a high standard. Experience working in a multi-system environment with strong computer/IT skills. Highly proficient and skilled at Microsoft Excel and Dynamics GP. Experience using BRData, WinAR and WinWard System Five preferrable. Retail finance experience is required. Always conduct oneself in a respectful and professional manner. Must possess a positive attitude. Must be goal and solution oriented and find ways to help the company grow and prosper. Must be able to create a positive work environment and cultivate company values.
