We know that our products make a real difference to our clients and their families.Reporting to the Underwriting Manager and/or Underwriting Supervisor, you will prepare premium quotes for new business for small to mid-size groups and renewal quotes for the jurisdiction(s) assigned. You will also prepare supporting materials in a timely manner for review and approval by the Underwriter. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, clerical and administrative duties, as well as participation in project work within the Underwriting Department, Coralisle Medical, or the Coralisle Group of Companies to support effective and efficient service delivery.

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities: Review requests for quotes for small to mid-sized companies for new business for portfolio assigned ensuring receipt of all required information and liaisoning with sales consultant for any missing information or when additional information is required. Refer all large, complex or non-routine pricing requests to the relevant Underwriter in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Calculate group rates for new and existing clients in accordance with underwriting guidelines. Prepare presentations and talking points for use by the sales consultants. Submit quotes to the Underwriter for review and approval prior to the release of the quote to the requesting sales consultant; ensure Underwriter is fully cognizant of any deadlines, non-routine issues etc. Track the status of quotes to ensure that new business is communicated to relevant staff in a timely manner. Keep sales consultants fully informed so they can communicate effectively with potential clients. Run monthly group renewal reports for your assigned portfolio. Maintain accurate and up-to-date files for reference by other team members. Prepare policy booklets for all new groups, consulting with the relevant Underwriter on master policy documents as required. Refer any group life, long-term disability or excess life coverage quotes to the Underwriter assigned this responsibility. Generate and respond to client correspondence. Complete administration and clerical work to support delivery of main duties and ensure the meeting of deadlines. Ensure an effective workflow process and communication with other relevant sections of the Medical Company to ensure effective service delivery and the adherence of specified service delivery standards (turn-around times). Follow-up with service providers on the receipt of information to ensure completion of the review of applications.Qualifications, Skills & Experience: A minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in a medical environment with a firm understanding of medical insurance. Willingness to pursue relevant professional insurance designation. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office suite of products, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and presentation skills, customer service, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
