The Pastry Chef is responsible for creating, preparing, and presenting a wide variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods to the highest quality standards. This role involves developing new dessert concepts, maintaining consistency in flavor and presentation, and ensuring all bakery operations meet food safety and hygiene regulations. The Pastry Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to design dessert menus, manage inventory, and oversee pastry staff, ensuring efficiency and creativity in all pastry-related operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking science, and dessert presentation. Proficiency in handling various pastry equipment and baking tools. Ability to design and execute creative dessert menus aligned with culinary trends. Skilled in dessert plating, presentation, and flavor pairing. Proficient in operating and maintaining pastry kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.). Strong understanding of ingredient functions, portion control, and recipe scaling. Knowledge of food safety standards.
