Chubb Bermuda Insurance Ltd. ("Chubb Bermuda") invites applications for the position of Financial Lines Claim Handler. With operations in 54 countries, Chubb is one of the world's largest multi-line property and casualty insurers. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Managing a portfolio of complex directors & officers, employment practices liability, and cyber claims - Interfacing with and overseeing operational team for support as needed - Performing detailed, substantive, ongoing analysis of significant, novel, and/or challenging claims - Working closely with outside and in-house counsel and other tower participants to protect Chubb's contractual rights under its policies - Performing analysis in respect of underlying exposures and coverage under a variety of financial lines policy forms - Communicating with underwriters regarding claim developments - Preparing timely and informative management reports - Noticing and reporting to reinsurers The successful applicant must possess: - A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university - An understanding of the U.S. tort system and insurance-coverage principles - Law degree, or at least five years insurance-industry experience analysing, managing, negotiating, and resolving complex claims - Strong oral and written communication skills - Effective negotiation skills
