The Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as a Data Engineer/ BI Developer in our Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Department. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Data Engineer/BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a modern, scalable data management and analytics solution to assist the BMA in making effective and efficient decisions in fulfilling its prudential responsibilities. Key responsibilities include designing, developing and implementing modern and scalable data management platforms (data lake and enterprise data warehouse solutions), ETL/ELT pipelines, end-to-end BI solutions with data semantic models, and supporting Machine Learning solutions and DataOps pipelines.

Requirements

A master's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or a related field; a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in developing databases, end-to-end data warehouses, data analytics and self-service BI solutions; at least three (3) years at a senior level working within financial services or a financial regulatory body; proficient in modern data warehousing (SQL, NoSQL, TSQL, Python) and Power BI Cloud platform; experience in data engineering and regulatory application design within the financial services sector; strong understanding of Excel/VBA, machine learning, and Agile methodologies.
