Bermuda College is seeking an experienced HR leader to fill the post of Director of Human Resources. The successful applicant shall serve as a strategic partner to the President and senior leadership team. Reporting to the President, the Director will lead the Human Resources and Development Department and reposition it as a modern, proactive and people-centred function that supports faculty, staff and the College’s long-term development. Key responsibilities include advising on HR strategy, workforce planning, talent management, strengthening employee engagement, managing departmental operations, advancing performance management, and championing HR technology.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Development or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree combined with a senior professional designation (CPHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or CIPD Level 7). Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role. Experience managing and developing teams, experience in a unionised environment including collective bargaining, and working knowledge of relevant legislation. Prior HR experience within higher education is strongly preferred.
