Our client, AIA Reinsurance Limited ("AIA Re"), is currently seeking candidates for the position of Advisor to join the team. This pivotal role is based in Bermuda, advising the Board, Executive Committee and staff of AIA Reinsurance in developing and executing its strategic priorities, provide reinsurance structuring advice, supporting day-to-day reinsurance activities, which overall deliver high quality and transparent services on reinsurance to AIA Group and its subsidiaries. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Advise AIA Re to: Develop and grow the life reinsurance business in Bermuda to achieve Group strategic aims for profitability, capital management and cost efficiency within the Group's risk appetite. Develop the strategic direction for the life reinsurance business in Bermuda to ensure its commercial success. Execute the Bermuda operation plan and budget within defined financial targets by preparing, gaining approval for and executing plans to extend the capability of the Company in line with the Group's strategy, ensuring that at all times the Company's operations are consistent with industry Best Practices. Execute the reinsurance strategy, structuring and optimization as well as its governance. Follow the Group's policies and procedures to maximise business performance, by providing coaching and support to the team. Ensure that the operation has the processes, systems and tools necessary for decision-making. Assist in the review and approval of all life reinsurance contracts based upon the Group's reinsurance policies and profitability criteria as well as the Bermuda capital requirements. Assist in the review and approval of all operational contracts to ensure the business operates properly. Support all actuarial, underwriting and related functions of the Company. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Actuary or designated as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (or equivalent from other internationally recognised actuarial bodies) for a minimum of ten to fifteen years. At least fifteen years of experience within the life insurance and life reinsurance industry, including international experience at executive level. A strong track record of success at executive level within the life insurance and life reinsurance sector, including extensive experience interacting with counterparties and third parties at senior levels. Experience in managing and developing a regulated insurance or reinsurance business. Practical understanding of technical aspects of external regulatory reporting, capital and solvency requirements, embedded value and IFRS reporting as applied by Asian-based insurance groups. Knowledge of valuation and pricing considerations applicable to life insurance and life reinsurance products. Experience in managing corporate performance and processes to ensure delivery of business objectives, across a broad and diverse Group similar to AIA. Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the business operates.

Requirements
