The AVP, Financial Reporting is responsible for supporting the accounting for the Company's activities, primarily comprised of the preparation and review of GAAP financial statements and SEC reporting, including the Company's 100 and 10K and the related XBRL preparation. They are also responsible for providing support and analysis to the Chief Accounting Officer and Global Corporate Controller and assisting with daily administration of various accounting and finance related functions. The AVP, Financial Reporting leads projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting requirements in an increasingly complex environment. Actively participates in strategic planning for the global finance team and functional area and works closely with other team members helping them to develop. This role works collaboratively across multiple areas and with the wider Finance Team. Principal Accountabilities: Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Lead the preparation of accurate financial reporting, both for internal and external purposes following required SEC, GAAP and regulatory standards, including providing support for more technical areas. Extemal reporting will include SEC related filings, inclusive of, but not limited to: Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Eamings Release, Financial Supplement. Work with relevant partners to ensure accuracy of transactions and financial disclosure. Support the continued enhancement and ongoing development of multiple financial systems ensuring that all Finance needs are met. Monitor developments with SEC and FASB regulations, policies, procedures and controls and ensure compliance with SEC and FASB regulations and/or information requests. Liaise with the audit team and co-manage the dissemination of information to facilitate the completion of quarterly review process and annual audit process. May also be responsible for. Lead the preparation of technical accounting remos observing US GAAP and help prepare more technically challenging accounting Ensure appropriate SOX 404 processes exist and are followed for preparation and submission of financial data. Strategic Projects Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhancement at the local level and propose solutions to improve the efficiency of the functional area. Lead global projects and project workstreams specific to large global projects. Participate in miscellaneous project work and provide general assistance to the Finance Department and other teams. Provide ad-hoc support to the CAO, Global Corporate Controller and business lead. Expected Competencies: A university degree preferred, or comparable relevant experience. A professional accounting designation (e.g. CA, ACA, CPA). At least 4 years prior relevant industry experience (Ideally including Big Four audit experience, preferably within the relevant functional area), of which 2 years must be focused on SEC reporting. Fully proficient, has in-depth knowledge, works independently on moderate to high complex matters. Utilises solid technical competence to achieve exemplary results and to manage and resolve issues.
