Allshores is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the financial management of our medical practices and laboratories by producing timely and accurate management information, while driving forward enhancements in systems and processes. Reporting to the Health Controller, the role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Key responsibilities: • Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting working papers, including comprehensive variance analysis and fore-casting reports Produce and present monthly management reports that provide insight into key financial drivers to the business unit heads Ensure that accounting functions and financial responsibilities are performed in a timely manner and in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements Review the general ledger postings monthly to ensure accuracy of journal postings Liaise with auditors and representatives from other regulatory organisations • Influence decision making through insightful financial analysis Assist in managing physician compensation models and cost-sharing allocations Monitor cash flow and bank account reconciliations Support the implementation and optimisation of accounting software and practice management systems Perform other tasks as assigned Skills and experience: Professional designation in Accounting (CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent) University degree in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, etc.) and/or equivalent work experience At least five (5) years post qualification experience in Accounting or Finance • A minimum of two (2) years experience in the life/health industry, preferably health provision Proven experience working with regulators including Government and the Bermuda Health Council IFRS experience an asset Health practice/laboratory financial reporting experience mandatory Experience with EHR/EMR systems, and practice management platform required Good appreciation of internal controls and ability to recommend process enhancements • Understanding of insurance reimbursement models and value-based care preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Great Plains Strong interpersonal and communication skills
