Under the leadership of the Director of Nursing, the Unit Coordinator directs and coordinates care to residents and their families in accordance with our accreditation and other regulatory bodies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of Nurses, Nurse Associates and Dining Room Attendants to ensure person-centered care is provided in keeping with the individuals’ personal needs and preferences regarding safety, dignity, and well-being. This includes lead and role model an interdisciplinary team, scheduling staff, maintaining controlled drug counts, and administering medications.
Requirements
Associate of Science Degree in Nursing; Minimum of 1 year of Medical / Surgical experience; 2 years in similar position; Registered Nurse with current registration with Bermuda with Bermuda Nursing & Midwifery Council; Written and numeracy skills; Computer literate and proficient with MS Office; Good verbal and nonverbal communication; Patience, calmness and flexibility; Manage a team of 15 individuals; Utilizes proper lifting and body mechanics to prevent personal injury; Similar experience within a Senior Care Facility or comparable setting.
