As Sports Sub-Editor you will support the Sports Editor to administer, plan and produce various publications, as well as supervise staff. The successful person will possess the ability to shift gears seamlessly between breaking news and the news diary, create and co-ordinate content for all media channels (print, web, social media), edit copy and lay out pages, exercise good judgment over overseas news, work unsocial hours, and show proficiency in publishing tools like InDesign.
Requirements
Minimum of five years' experience as a journalist, with at least two of those years in a copy-editing role. Experience covering a wide range of sports including football and cricket would be an asset. Proficiency in publishing tools, significantly InDesign. Ability to work unsocial hours, including weekends and public holidays.
