As Assistant Business Editor you will support the Business Editor to administer, plan and produce various publications, as well as supervise staff. Key responsibilities include shifting between breaking news and news diary, creating and co-ordinating content for media channels (print, web, tablet, social media), editing copy, laying out pages, exercising judgment over overseas news, producing stocks pages, and working unsocial hours including weekends.

Requirements

Minimum of ten years' experience as a journalist, with at least three of those years in a copy-editing role. Ability to edit copy and lay out pages. Proficiency in an array of publishing tools, significantly InDesign. Willingness to work unsocial hours, including weekends and public holidays.
