This role is responsible for end to end actuarial ownership of Asset Liability Management (ALM), Cash Flow Testing (CFT), and Outlook of internal financial projection/processes, with primary accountability for Talcott Life and Annuity Re, Ltd (TLAR) and related legal entities. The position requires advanced actuarial judgment, deep AXIS modeling expertise, and close collaboration with Asset Modeling, Liability Modeling, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and senior actuarial leadership to support valuation, planning, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include owning and executing the quarterly TLAR projection CFT process, leading Outlook modeling and analysis, maintaining and enhancing ALM AXIS models, and performing stress tests.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a major within Actuarial Science, Risk or Underwriting is required. Minimum of 8 years of actuarial experience in valuation, projections, enterprise risk management or related functions. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience. Minimum of 2 years of ALM modeling. FSA is required. Deep experience with AXIS technology, MS Office (expert Excel skills); SQL/R experience is a plus.
