Our client, Aeolus Capital Management Ltd., manages capital on behalf of investors seeking the risk/reward and diversification benefits available from investing in the property catastrophe reinsurance and retrocession market. The successful applicant, working under the direction of the VP, Chief Accounting Officer ("CAO") and Chief Financial Officer, will have responsibilities including preparing monthly NAVs, managing treasury functions, budgeting, and supporting the underwriting team with reviewing and accounting for policy and claims information.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in accounting, business or similar field; An internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CFA, etc.); A minimum of five years accounting experience with at least three years in a reinsurance accounting role; Experience with collateralized reinsurance is an asset; Experience in US GAAP and Bermuda statutory regulations; Minimum of three years of experience using one or more accounting software packages (preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP); Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required and in SQL an asset.
