Somersfield Academy, an International Baccalaureate World School, is seeking faculty to deliver the IB Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma Programmes (DP) starting for the 2026-27 academic school year. Key responsibilities include developing and teaching IB programme subject lessons, curriculum development, fostering appreciation of English language acquisition, positioning students for success on IB coursework/examinations, and maintaining high expectations for student progress. The role involves analyzing assessment data, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in diversity-based initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant subject(s); B. Ed. or PGCE in Education; Teaching license from the Bermuda Educators Council (BEC) or qualified to be licensed; Minimum of 3 years teaching experience; Knowledge and/or experience in teaching IB MYP/DP English Language & Literature courses.
