The Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning (BCCL) is seeking a dynamic and passionate Upper Primary/Lower Secondary Years Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. BCCL is a private school exclusively enrolling students who learn differently, including those with dyslexia, language-based learning differences, or ADHD. The role involves designing engaging, interactive lessons, differentiating instruction, and following a student-centered approach using the U.K. National Curriculum, IPC, and IMYC. Responsibilities include assessment tracking, building family relationships, supporting social-emotional learning, and conducting community-based outings.
Requirements
Teaching qualifications (B.Ed., PGCE, QTS) from an internationally accredited college or university; minimum of 12 weeks of student teaching; minimum of three years of experience lead teaching students with learning differences; experience differentiating instruction; experience in small-group and whole-class settings; knowledge of inclusive education practices; experience teaching English using phonics-based approach (Orton-Gillingham preferred); licensed with the Bermuda Educator's Council; SCARS and CPR/First Aid certified.
