Our client, SCOR Bermuda Life Company (SBL), is seeking a Manager, Financial Accounting & Reporting. This position is part of the US Life & Health Finance Team, which is responsible for financial activities and reporting associated with SBL. Reporting to the SVP, Controller, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expert team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with finance and actuarial stakeholders across the US and globally within the SCOR Group. Responsibilities will include: Oversight of quarterly and annual financial statements. Overseeing input to the general ledger, including balances and activity owned by other teams. Overseeing annual filing and correspondence on financial matters. Ensuring compliance with Bermuda regulatory reporting requirements. Creating and maintaining process documentation, including the identification of risks and proper mitigating controls. Monitoring systems and processes to ensure internal controls are implemented and effective. Effectively implementing and utilizing tools to help improve the efficiency of the work.

Requirements

Ideal candidate requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant work experience. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA, ACA). At least 5 years of relevant PQE, preferably within the reinsurance industry. Proven experience with internal controls and financial reporting. Demonstrated ability to understand complex models and analysis. Experience in regulatory reporting with the BMA is preferable. Experience with IFRS17 and Solvency II reporting is a definite advantage. Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP is desirable. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present insights to senior leadership.
