The successful candidates will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and/ or advisory (including legal and regulatory services) work for clients in the financial services industry.
Requirements
Staff, Experienced Staff, and Seniors – responsibilities and required experience:• Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations• Maintain continuous interaction with clients and ensure outstanding client service• Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends and developments• Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and emerging technical and industry developments• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, law or a related field• A CPA or equivalent internationally recognized accounting certification, Enrolled Agent certification and/or JD/LLM/LPC degree or equivalent preferred; candidates who are in process of completing their professional certification but have yet to become licensed/certified, will also be considered• Staff – an entry level role with no prior relevant experience required; must have a passion and interest in pursuing a career in tax. A CPA or equivalent accounting certification is not required, but the successful candidate should have a demonstrable plan for pursuing one.• Experienced Staff – A minimum of nine (9) months of relevant tax compliance or tax advisory experience; prior experience in a public accounting or professional services firm preferred• Seniors – A minimum of eighteen (18) months of relevant tax compliance or tax advisory experience; prior experience within a public accounting or professional services firm is requiredManagers and Senior Managers – responsibilities and required experience:• Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations• Develop budgets, determine resource requirements and direct/monitor engagements, as well as participate in managing a tax compliance or advisory (legal/regulatory) group by assisting with forecasting future work, delegating work effectively and resolving staffing issues• Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and drive outstanding client service• Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends and developments• Build client relationships and understand the client's industry to recognize key performance drivers, business trends and emerging technical and industry developments• Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, law or a related field• A CPA or equivalent internationally recognized accounting certification, Enrolled Agent certification and/or JD/LLM/LPC degree or equivalent; non-certified candidates at the Manager or above level must obtain a certification within 1 year of hire date• Managers – A minimum of five (5) years of relevant tax compliance or advisory experience with demonstrated career progression; prior experience within a public accounting or professional services firm as well as the financial services industry is required• Senior Managers – A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant tax compliance or advisory experience with demonstrated career progression and leadership skills; prior experience within a public accounting or professional services firm as well as the financial services industry is requiredThe successful candidates must have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to work a flexible schedule as overtime will be required, as well as a dedication to teamwork and integrity within a professional environment.
