Warehouse Manager

Pembroke Tile & Stone Co. Ltd. is an established local business specializing in quality tile and stone products. We are looking for an energetic and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the warehouse, inventory, equipment and machinery, health and safety, and staff management. As the Warehouse Manager the individual must be able to manage and communicate effortlessly with team members, customers, contractors and vendors. Primary responsibilities include: Supervising and leading warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure the timely completion of warehouse activities. Fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration among warehouse personnel. Supervising all "goods in and goods out" operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage. Overseeing the unloading of containers, receiving of goods, and organizing goods for delivery and warehouse storage. Overseeing and assisting warehouse assistants with the organization of stock; ensuring all goods are wrapped, palletized, and labelled correctly for delivery and/or storage. Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies. Implementing inventory control measures to minimize loss, damage, and/or theft. Monitoring order accuracy and timeliness to ensure customer satisfaction Ensuring the warehouse facility is clean, tidy, and organized. Monitoring warehouse security and assist with general warehouse and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

Applicants must have: At least 3-5 years of directly relevant experience, of which 2 years must be at a supervisory/management level with excellent leadership and communications skills. Previous Forklift experience and the ability to lift heavy materials Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards relating to warehouse operations Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products. Proven accountability, adaptability, and integrity in a fast-paced work environment with strong communication, time management and teamwork skills. The ability to work under pressure and in physically demanding conditions is also essential to the success of the position. A heavy truck license or the ability to obtain one is advantageous
