Field Service Manager

ABM Limited requires an experienced Field Service Manager for its Controls and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Service Division. ABM is the authorized sales and service partner for APC by Schneider Electric, Tridium and Generac. Key Role and Responsibilities: • Lead all service activities in the division including maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of HVAC control systems, industrial controls, UPS and standby generators in both commercial and industrial environments • Manage and develop relationships with existing and new clients to grow the service division Be conversant with NFPA 70 and other applicable electrical codes Be able to read and interpret electrical and controls drawings Provides input to strategic decisions which affect the functional areas of responsibility Supervise staff and communicate with clients and other trades Train and develop other service technicians Qualifications, Education and/or Experience: • Licensed journeyman electrician with minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in the role of foreman or general foreman Factory certifications on Tridium building automation systems • Factory certifications on APC by Schneider Electric UPS products Factory certifications on Generac generator systems Industrial PLC, generator and general electrical troubleshooting experience Working knowledge of chilled water systems, AHU's, VAV's, VFD's, boilers and generators Experience working in health care and industrial facilities, with particular emphasis on infection control procedures. Strong Computer skills with particular experience using Visio and MS Office programs is necessary Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Ability to work under pressure and multi-task with excellent attention to detail The successful candidate must be willing to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays, or as required on a service basis, have a clean driving record and possess a license to operate a small truck.
