Otis Elevator Company (Bermuda) Ltd. is inviting applicants for the position of Field Elevator Specialist reporting to the General Manager. Duties include servicing, erecting, and assembling elevator equipment, responding to failures, testing electrical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and diagnosing/fixing malfunctions. The role involves installation of traction and hydraulic systems, repairing escalators, reading blueprints, programming CPUs/drives, and maintaining safety standards.
Requirements
5-10 years relevant work experience. Completion of the NAEC CET Training Program or equivalent. Experience with Diagnostic Elevator Tools and Electrical Distribution Systems. Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings. Ability to provide leadership to lower-level technicians. Knowledge of specialized test equipment. Experience with Otis, ThyssenKrupp, Savaria, Pflow and REI equipment. Computer proficiency (Word, Excel). Willingness to work after regular hours and on short notice. Valid light truck license or willingness to obtain. Clean criminal background.
