BELCO is seeking a Control Engineer to join our Transmission & Distribution team. The successful applicant will assist with ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the BELCO Grid Operation systems. Responsibilities include monitoring system disturbances, providing direction to operational personnel, prioritizing outages, providing technical reports, and assisting with operational budgets.

Requirements

Higher National Certificate (HND) or equivalent Technical College Diploma in electrical engineering technology; Registered as an Engineering Technician; Minimum of 5 years post qualification progressive experience in the utility industry; Minimum of 10 years technical experience with transmission and distribution systems and equipment; Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
