The successful applicant will have 10 years’ continuous work experience in concrete forming on large scale projects. The primary responsibilities will be designing falsework and formwork for concrete construction and performing all line, grade and site layouts, co-ordination of formwork assembly and erection, and the overall organization, planning and scheduling of the formwork crew to complete the work on time, within budget and to the quality specified. A thorough knowledge of layout procedures, structural, architectural and shop drawings, construction means and methods and procedures for ensuring quality control are required. A proven track record in leadership and interpersonal skills is a must. Evidence of civil or structural engineering courses would be a definite asset. Applicants must have a strong work ethic, be reliable and able to work 5-day weeks and weekends if necessary. A minimum of 2 current work references are required.
