We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Litigation Counsel to work both independently and directly with and provide a supporting role to the Head of the Dispute Resolution team. This position requires a seasoned commercial litigator with significant insolvency experience and strong court advocacy skills. The successful candidate will have effective commercial awareness together with proven business development and client rapport building skills and will also have a willingness to mentor, supervise and delegate work to junior members of the Dispute Resolution department. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years' relevant post qualification experience working in private practice; A recognized Commonwealth designation; Advocacy skills and proven experience in conducting litigation to a high standard at various levels of court; Experience in commercial matters preferably, and in particular significant insolvency experience; Excellent drafting, legal research and legal opinion writing; Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with clients, lawyers and colleagues; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage a busy practice and handle several matters at once; Experience with business development activities. The applicant must have a desire for eventual partnership. An attractive remuneration package is available. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and practical senior commercial litigator who can demonstrate a track record of servicing and maintaining valued client relationships and also introducing and developing new relationships within a busy and dynamic team.
