Carey Olsen Bermuda Limited invites applications from lawyers to fill roles in our corporate practice area. Partner Duties and responsibilities include advising clients on a wide range of complex commercial transactions and corporate law matters as well as taking a leading role with business development, marketing and training programs. Successful candidates will have an extensive background acting for multinational corporate clients, a minimum of ten years of post-qualified experience in common law jurisdictions, and particular expertise and experience in the offshore financial services sector. Successful candidates will also have a demonstrable ability to manage their own practice; lead on international marketing initiatives and bring legal business into Bermuda; build long lasting relationships with international clients; and experience supervising and training Trainees and Associates. Counsel Duties and responsibilities include advising clients on a wide range of complex commercial transactions and corporate law matters as well as taking a leading role with business development, marketing and training programs. Successful candidates will have a minimum of seven years of post-qualified experience, an extensive background acting for multinational corporate clients and experience supervising and training Trainees and Associates. This role will include objectives on drawing new business to Bermuda from the United States and Caribbean region, and a strong financial services background (specifically in funds) is required along with a proven ability to win such work. Senior Associate Duties and responsibilities include advising clients on a wide range of complex commercial transactions and corporate law matters as well as assisting with business development, marketing and training programs. Successful candidates will have a minimum of five years of post-qualified experience in common law jurisdictions and a minimum of three years of experience working with international clients in financial services is preferable. Associate Duties and responsibilities include advising clients on a wide range of complex commercial transactions and corporate law matters as well as assisting with business development, marketing and training programs. Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years of post-qualified experience in common law jurisdictions and a minimum of two years of experience working with international clients in financial services. Paralegal Duties and responsibilities include providing paralegal support to lawyers, partners and clients by providing comprehensive and confidential advice and assistance based on a good knowledge of the legal, regulatory and commercial environment in which they work. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years' experience as a paralegal in a law firm and have a law degree or paralegal certification.
