We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Associate Litigation Attorney to work both independently and directly with and provide a supporting role to the senior attorneys in the Dispute Resolution Team. The successful applicant should have: 3-5 years' relevant post qualification experience; A recognized Commonwealth designation; Advocacy skills and proven experience in conducting litigation to a high standard at various levels of court; Experience with general commercial matters is essential; Excellent legal research and legal opinion writing; Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with clients, lawyers and colleagues; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage a busy practice and handle several matters at once; The ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in all matters; Excellent computer and technical skills; Experience with business development activities would be advantageous; Ability to be flexible and willingness to work outside of normal business hours, when required. Applicants with debt recovery and enforcement, contentious estates, landlord and tenant or banking enforcement experience are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate case management experience and have the ability to work on his/her own initiative as well as under pressure.
