MJM Limited is a Bermuda based law firm with an international outlook, delivering integrated, commercially focused advice. We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Associate Litigation Attorney to work both independently and directly with and provide a supporting role to the senior attorneys in the Dispute Resolution Team. The successful applicant should have advocacy skills and proven experience in conducting litigation to a high standard at various levels of court. Experience with general commercial matters is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and practical lawyer who can demonstrate a track record of servicing and maintaining valued client relationships and introducing and developing new relationships within a busy and dynamic team.
Requirements
- 3-5 years' relevant post qualification experience; - A recognized Commonwealth designation; - Advocacy skills and proven experience in conducting litigation to a high standard at various levels of court; - Experience with general commercial matters is essential; - Excellent legal research and legal opinion writing; - Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with clients, lawyers and colleagues; - Excellent oral and written communication skills; - Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage a busy practice and handle several matters at once; - The ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality in all matters; - Excellent computer and technical skills; - Experience with business development activities would be advantageous; - Ability to be flexible and willingness to work outside of normal business hours, when required.
