This position will be responsible for managing a team(s) of claims examiners possessing varied experience levels. This position will oversee the resolution of claims with low to high complexity and provide direction, coaching, and training. This position will report to the Director or Senior Director of claims and be responsible for conveying the organization’s objectives and priorities to staff and measure progress towards stated goals. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of claims specialists, providing guidance on high exposure claims, assessing performance, coordinating with other managers, reviewing correspondences, making reserve recommendations, and fostering relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is required. 8+ years industry experience. 5+ years supervisory experience. Strong organizational and time management skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to manage teams of experienced managers and associates. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Advanced PC proficiency, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience in collaborative, team oriented settings.
