Sous Chef/ Deli Clerk

Lindo's Group of Companies is seeking a versatile individual to join our team who can work flexibly between our deli operations and kitchen. This dual-role position is designed to support our two chefs and deli team, particularly during periods of vacation or absence. Responsibilities Deli Clerk Duties: Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service. Assist customers with product recommendations and purchases. Weigh, label, and package products accurately. Stock, rotate, and maintain displays and showcases. Assist with salad bar operations, and set up/break down of hot and cold deli. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment. Follow company food safety and hygiene standards. Sous Chef Duties: Support the head chef and deli manager in all aspects of kitchen management. Assist with menu planning, inventory control, ordering, and food costing. Supervise and train kitchen and deli staff as required. Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety. Contribute to international menu offerings; overseas culinary experience is an asset. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional appearance and punctuality.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience in professional kitchen operations (sous chef level or equivalent). Proven knowledge of inventory control, ordering, menu planning, and food safety. At least 2 years' overseas experience in a similar role preferred. Prior deli or customer-facing food service experience highly desirable. Neat in appearance, hardworking, self-motivated, courteous, and punctual. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong customer service focus. References are required.
