Insurance Analyst

In this role you will: • Process and analyse large data sets consisting typically of insurance premium and loss data to support internal performance reporting and rating decisions • Develop and maintain Employee Benefits management information, performance dashboards, and renewal reports • Collaborate with fronting insurers, internal stakeholders and advisors to support annual renewals • Review and process reinsurance statements prepared by cedants in respect of inwards reinsurance arrangements for the HSBC life entity • Develop and implement data controls to ensure completeness, consistency and accuracy of key data • Ensure renewal processes are well controlled including execution of formal policy contracts To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria: • Relevant experience in Insurance is an advantage • Solid communication skills, with the ability to develop trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders across seniorities and geographies • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills • A proven understanding of Python and R is desirable When you join HSBC, you'll enjoy a supportive culture, a highly energised team, and have access to exciting opportunities and benefits, such as: • Salary and benefits designed to give you a solid foundation for the present and future • Mentoring, coaching, and training to upskill yourself, including word-class learning opportunities • Flexible working environment • Range of resources to support your mental, physical, and social well-being • Opportunities to work internationally, and join a range of Employee Resource Groups Personal data held by HSBC relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement, which is available on our website.
