Government House is hiring an

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Deadline: 3 days

Job Type: Permanent

Government House requires a hands-on, creative, dependable Executive Chef, capable of working to a very high standard for limited and high volume catering. Applicants must demonstrate a good knowledge of traditional, healthy, and gourmet cuisine, baking and larder work, and be able to cater for large groups, while managing budget with due economy. The successful applicant must be able to operate within a larger household team. The role requires flexibility in approach to the role, and good interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Menu planning and costing; Purchasing of food, supplies and equipment; Inventory control; Supervision of kitchen and pantry assistant. Interested parties must: Be willing to work split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required; Be able to work within a strict budget; Possess City & Guilds certifications or equivalent; Have at least 3 years' experience in a similar position.
