Produce Manager

On behalf of our client, Pronto Ltd., we seek a Produce Manager. Must have at least five years extensive work experience in managing grocery operations and produce departments; extensive knowledge of produce sourcing, procurement, quality control and handling procedures; proven track record in managing operations and developing teams; excellent negotiation skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the produce department. Duties will include but are not limited to managing inventory, quality control, sales and promotion, maintaining and developing store operational policies, procedures and processes, collaborating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, and training and mentoring the produce team on handling procedures, quality control and product knowledge. Candidates who can work evenings, weekends and holidays will be favourably considered.
