Details Management Ltd., on behalf of our client, Fleming International Services Co. Bermuda LLC, "FISCO", is requesting applications for the position of AVP - Controller. FISCO is a specialist run-off re-insurer providing a full suite of legacy liability solutions including customized risk transfer and liquidity products. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the successful candidate will join a dynamic and fast-growing reinsurance team, providing leadership and oversight of the finance function. Responsibilities include: Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting. Prepare management accounts, year-end GAAP financial statements and comprehensive regulatory reports on a quarterly, annual and ad hoc basis. Deliver consistent financial analysis to support regulatory filings and discussions at both the company and group board of director meetings. Support the group consolidation and reporting process by providing accurate and timely reports and analysis of company results. Investigate and report complex accounting issues arising from business transactions. Provide required financial analysis to the group's Mergers and Acquisitions team. Oversee the overall integrity of financial information employing best practices and leveraging IT solutions to drive efficiency, accuracy and reporting capabilities. Review reinsurance contract wordings confirming the financial representation and application within the organization's accounting systems. Assist in overseeing liquidity and collateral obligations across the operating company and group. Develop and foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Promote a collaborative and results-driven environment by setting clear expectations, conducting regular catch-ups with team members, monitoring individual performance and supporting continuous growth and development. Professional/Technical Skills and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional designation in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. 7+ years' experience gained in accounting or finance within the (re)insurance industry. 3+ years' experience in a senior leadership or management role. Extensive knowledge of US GAAP. Deep understanding of Bermuda's regulatory framework, including reporting requirements and corporate governance standards. Demonstrated technical expertise in accounting systems, spreadsheet analysis and financial reporting tools. Experience with SUN General Ledger, TIRS claims and underwriting systems an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and foster relationships at all levels of the organization.
