Underwriter, Financial Lines

This role focuses on underwriting and managing complex financial sector risks—including D&O, E&O, Cyber, and EPL—by assessing exposures, determining appropriate coverage and pricing, and maintaining a profitable portfolio. The underwriter will analyze market trends to identify emerging opportunities, build strong broker and client relationships, and collaborate with internal teams on client engagement and marketing strategies. Based at Relm Insurance, a Bermuda-domiciled insurer specializing in emerging industries like Web3, AI, and fintech, the position plays a key part in advancing Relm’s mission of creating solutions for complex risks in innovative markets. The ideal candidate embodies Relm’s values of accountability, collaboration, curiosity, creativity, courage, and optimism.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting leadership roles within the insurance industry, with a focus on Financial Lines. Extensive knowledge of Financial Lines products and coverages, including D&O liability, E&O liability, Cyber Liability, and EPL. Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex risks and underwriting data effectively. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Professional designations such as CPCU, RPLU, or ARM preferred.
