The Bermuda Housing Corporation has an opportunity for a Property Development Project Officer. The successful candidate will report directly to the Assistant Project Manager. Primary responsibilities will include: Supervises site works on specific Corporation developments as assigned by the Assistant Project Manager; Liaises with Planning Department, Fire and Health authorities to ensure compliance with building codes and standards; Maintain site activity records, setting out, levels and on-site decisions. Inspects and approves materials in accordance with Statement of Works agreement (SOW); Takes and Maintains photographs of on Site works in progress; Inspects, verifies, and approve invoice for processing contractor progress payments using AIA format for contracts and VAP and MRI for generating Purchase Orders; Assist with the receipt and collation of all tendering documents received; Collect all necessary Planning, Health completion and occupancy certificates as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology, Architecture, Business or the equivalent. In-depth knowledge of industry codes, regulations and safety standards and best practice in maintenance techniques. Minimum of two years' relevant work experience. Prior experience in a similar role and or Surveyor or Architectural certification. Flexibility to be open to change without compromising the overall objective.
