The successful applicant will be responsible for all duties relating to the operation of the switchboard and be the first point of contact as the receptionist on behalf of the BDC 2000 Group and related companies. The duties will also include administrative and clerical support as directed. Specific Tasks and Duties: Operate switchboard and redirect calls in a polite and friendly manner; Relay written or verbal messages without delay; Ensure the electronic telephone directory is always kept up-to-date Promptly communicate errors and changes, and follow-up as required; Stay informed about group affairs to effectively address customer needs and answer questions; Greet visitors with a positive and helpful attitude; Support workplace security by maintaining the visitor office log; Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries; Monitor and manage the inventory of office supplies, and place orders as needed; Prepare the boardroom for meetings and events; Arrange catering for meetings, inventory counts and team functions; Maintain the reception area, boardroom, and kitchen in a clean and tidy manner at all times; Provide administrative support and perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, preparing and issuing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and assisting with inventory, group functions, and events; Assist the Customer Service Team with the processing of orders and the handling of customer queries; and Any other duties applicable to the level of this position as required. Requirements: One to two years of receptionist, switchboard operator or customer service experience; High School Diploma or equivalent; A polite and friendly manner with a confident and clear telephone voice is essential; Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to communicate with and support both internal and external parties at all levels; Able to handle difficult situations, whether in person or by telephone, in a calm and polite manner, ensuring top-notch customer satisfaction; Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively; A mature self-motivator who can work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision; Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; and Able to contribute positively; willing to help with various tasks as needed. This is a full-time position with a typical work week running Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Candidates must be prepared to work flexible hours as necessary to complete the role.

Requirements

One to two years of receptionist, switchboard operator or customer service experience; High School Diploma or equivalent; A polite and friendly manner with a confident and clear telephone voice is essential; Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to communicate with and support both internal and external parties at all levels; Able to handle difficult situations, whether in person or by telephone, in a calm and polite manner, ensuring top- notch customer satisfaction; Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively; A mature self-motivator who can work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision; Competency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; and Able to contribute positively; willing to help with various tasks as needed.
