The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) is recruiting Front Line Ambassadors to join its busy Bermuda Visitors Service Centre (BVSC) team. Established in 2014, the BTA is the official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for the island with a mandate to grow the tourism economy and promote Bermuda globally as a world-class destination for travel and tourism investment. This seasonal opportunity is responsible for assisting, promoting, and providing customer service and visitor information support to users of the designated Bermuda Visitor Service Centre (BVSC). This position reports directly to the BVSC Manager or any person s/he should designate from time to time. Key Responsibilities: • Elevating visitors overall on-island experience by providing accurate, impartial information on on-island products, tourism services, and recommendations. • Delivering exceptional customer service and a positive experience to visitors, industry partners, personnel and other stakeholders. • Providing assistance to visitors and locals on inquiries and service needs. • Managing the distribution of BVSC-produced and supplied brochures and informational materials to visitors. Promoting BVSC initiatives, programmes, offerings, events and activities to visitors, on-island partners and the local community. • Actively promoting and selling BVSC sponsored experiences and initiatives, as required. • Processing sales of transportation passes, approved BVSC tours, merchandise and reconciling all sales after each shift. Maintaining and monitoring retail inventory, brochures and supplies including weekly stocktaking and regular replenishment of informational racks as required. • Maintaining a clean, orderly and well-maintained BVSC location, display area and facilities. • Researching on-island product information to provide updates, changes, and recommendations for BVSC promotional collateral. • Communicating regularly with concierges, the Hamilton, Dockyard and St. George's Visitor Service Centres, tour operators and industry stakeholders on product updates and changes. Escalate issues to the appropriate BVSC management or employees in a timely manner, in accordance with BTA's complaint management procedure as outlined in the Handbook. • Walking and working on foot within designated high-traffic areas across Bermuda to promote on-island experiences and support visitor wayfinding and general assistance. • Being a champion for guests and Bermuda • Complete required AnchorBDA and other mandatory staff training. • Other duties, special projects and assignments as required Qualifications & Experience: • Bermuda High School Diploma or equivalent. • Three (3) years' experience in a similar role • Comfortable walking and working on foot for extended periods within designated high-traffic areas. • Demonstrated, working knowledge of Bermuda's tourism product, including attractions, accommodations, dining, transportation options, cultural experiences, signature events, and visitor services across the island • Strong understanding of Bermudian hospitality standards, customer service expectations, and the importance of creating welcoming, authentic, and memorable visitor interactions • Access to reliable transportation to reach flexible work locations as required. • Ability to work at Hamilton, Dockyard and St. Georges • Excellent verbal and professional communication skills • Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
