The successful candidate should possess a strong academic background in Chemistry and be able to provide practical hands-on instruction to create an engaging learning environment, evaluate student academic performance using a variety of assessments and techniques and use instructional technology along with active learning approaches. Responsibilities include teaching courses from Preparatory Chemistry to Organic Chemistry II, preparing materials, assessing progress, providing academic advice, and participating in faculty development. The lecturer may be required to teach one evening per semester, with optional summer teaching remunerated accordingly.
Requirements
Candidates must possess an earned Master's Degree (MA or MS) in Chemistry from an accredited institution, Doctorate preferred. Must be competent in the use of digital learning tools and applications. A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred.
