BAC Group is looking to employ individuals with experience as Sheet Metal Mechanics. The successful candidates will be able to supervise and coordinate the activities of other sheet metal workers, develop solutions to a variety of moderate complexity problems and provide training for less experienced staff. Work is performed in both a shop setting and outside on various types of jobs/construction sites. Duties include constructing, installing, altering, and repairing sheet metal products like ducts and hoods, determining equipment/supplies, operating specialized machinery, and performing operational checks and maintenance.
Requirements
Certified Sheet Metal Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years post certification experience; Must have graduated from a certified sheet metal apprenticeship program; Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the HVAC Trade; Familiar with HVAC Duct Construction Standards (SMACNA); Proficiency in reading blueprints; Experience using specialized equipment such as Kool Duct Machines and Plasma Cutters; Ability to tack weld, braze, and solder; Valid driver's license.
