The successful candidate must be highly skilled and motivated who can take on large or small projects on an individual basis or in a team dynamic. Thoroughness, quality assurance and safety are paramount skills for this role. Responsibilities include safe and efficient operation of moderately complex machinery, daily inspections, preventive maintenance, executing construction procedures for commercial and residential projects, reading drawings, and adjusting controls based on conditions.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in operating a variety of equipment including but not limited to Excavators (with hydraulic hammers, grapples and concrete crushers/sheers), Backhoes, Payloaders, Track Loaders, Trenchers and Cranes is required. Must have a valid heavy equipment license or ability to obtain one. Extensive experience in reading and interpreting construction drawing, studying and clarifying instructions and diagrams, calculating requirements and gathering supplies. Proven problem solving and decision making skills is mandatory. Must be able to maintain records of work performed. Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
