SJ Construction is currently seeking to fill the positions of Top Grade Mason. The successful candidates will be highly proficient in all aspects of masonry. Responsibilities will include calculating angles and courses, determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses of all sizes of block, building and positioning forms for pouring concrete, building and erecting stone columns/face slate/buttresses and buttery roofs, laying brick for driveways/chimneys and all other masonry procedures, as well as reading blueprints and drawings to determine specifications. All employees at SJ are subject to random drug testing.

Requirements

5 years' experience in residential and commercial construction; Track record of excellent masonry work; Ability to finish concrete slabs to 3/16th of an inch tolerance in 20 feet; Ability to plaster concrete walls to 1/8th of an inch tolerance in 8 feet; Ability to set steel and rebar; Ability to read and understand blueprints to calculate specifications and materials; Excellent time management and reliability; Willingness and ability to work overtime when required, including weekends and public holidays; Must have own transportation.
