The selected individuals will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities of a staff of Foremen and Journeymen of plumbing and piping trades. Successful candidates must be skilled in the layout and implementation of varied and complex piping systems, as they apply to H.V.A.C piping systems, steam, and plumbing systems. Responsibilities include reviewing and suggesting changes in preliminary building mechanical plans, working with consulting engineers, and ensuring adherence to international and local plumbing and mechanical codes. Duties include procurement assistance, detailing equipment connections, preparing cost estimates, reviewing architectural plans, supervising plumbing and piping crews, and managing project costs.

Requirements

A relevant vocational qualification or technical school certification with mechanical coursework is required; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program; minimum of 7 years' experience in building systems and plumbing mechanical trades, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role; thorough knowledge of HVAC piping systems and plumbing installations; ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints; thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
