The Certified Pre-Owned Automotive Vehicle Sales Specialist utilises their well-developed leadership skills and strong sales experience to manage the Certified Pre-Owned Automotive Vehicle Department, maintaining high productivity and efficiency and ensuring the department's viability and revenue growth align with targeted business and financial objectives. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Forecast monthly and annual objectives for the sales, gross turnover, and essential expenses of the Certified Pre-Owned automotive sales department. Prepares and manages the annual operating budget of the Certified Pre-Owned automotive sales department. Closely follows customer preference, lost sales, the history of dealership sales and local market trends, to select which vehicles to stock and ensure that purchasing is balanced. Evaluate all pre-owned vehicles brought into the dealership, ensuring that their titles of ownership are in order and provide initial evaluation on mechanical condition and bodywork. Proficient in computing and quoting sales price, trade-in allowance and discounts Ensure proper follow-up of all potential buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system. Ensure that body and mechanical reconditioning is performed within the dealership's cost and time limitations by working closely with the aftersales team Work closely with TCD to coordinate the removal of the vehicle from the customer's assessment number and re-registration Assist in marketing and advertising Understand the inventory management process and maintain industry relationships to maximise opportunities that present themselves Minimum Qualifications, Skills & Experience: A proven track record of automotive Sales Management, with 10+ years of experience and an in-depth product knowledge of multiple franchises Established experience in forecasting monthly and annual objectives for the sales, gross turnover, and essential expenses of a Certified Pre-Owned automotive sales department Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders Auto Finance experience required, and must have a clear understanding of modern automotive finance structures to maintain financial performance and customer loyalty Must be a strong closer willing to engage customers early in the sale to achieve a positive result. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. A valid Driver's Licence and a clean driving record are essential Excellent communication, customer service skills, sales ability, and positive attitude Able to perform in a high-volume, ever-evolving environment A proven track record in the sale of add-ons such as accessories and related products. Desirable: Experience with CDK DMS / CRM System Multi-franchise brand experience Franchises represented Hyundai, Suzuki, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, RBW, Mitsubishi, VW, & UD
