Bermuda Motors Limited is seeking a Service Manager who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's automotive servicing and repair department. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians and service advisors ensuring the highest standards of customer service and vehicle maintenance. Manage and oversee the work of the service department, including scheduling, job assignment, productivity and quality control Ensure that all service and repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner, meeting customer expectations Ensure Quality Control and ensure the team follows best practices and maintain service level agreements in the service department Responsible for creating and achieving the department budget, including operational needs and planning Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide technical expertise and advice Liaise with department managers to ensure smooth operations of service department Communicate with distributors on technical issues Full understanding of manufacture warranty and submission Mentor and train apprentices, technicians, and service advisors to develop their skills and improve overall team performance Maintain comprehensive records of all service work and provide detailed reports to management Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction Other duties as required in the service department Minimum of 7 years' experience as a service manager or in a similar automotive leadership role Strong technical knowledge and expertise in automotive servicing and repair, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers Proven track record of managing and developing a team of technicians and service advisors, fostering a positive and productive work environment Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic and repair software, as well as inventory management systems and Microsoft suite Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
