Aspida Re Services Ltd. ("Aspida Re Services") is a Bermuda based service provider to Aspida Re Ltd. ("Aspida Re"), an affiliated and regulated Bermuda-domiciled Class E licensed (re)insurance company. Aspida Re provides annuity and life insurance companies with tailored risk management solutions, with a specialization in closed block and new business flow reinsurance of asset-intensive and interest rate-sensitive annuity and life insurance liabilities. Aspida Re Services has a dedicated team of 12 reinsurance professionals based in Hamilton, Bermuda responsible for reinsurance pricing, operations, and risk management. Aspida Re is backed by Ares Management Corporation, "Ares" (NYSE: ARES), a leading global alternative investment manager. Aspida Re Services, are looking to fill the position of Actuary. This role will be an integral part of the team, with responsibility for completing key tasks in all aspects of actuarial work performed including reserving, financial reporting, and modeling. This position will report to the Deputy Chief Actuary. Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Prepare, maintain, and own financial reporting and capital models and reports; reconcile and explain results to key Aspida management. • Lead the production of quarterly and annual actuarial valuations, including best estimate liability calculations and reserve rollforwards. • Contribute to the generation of all required planning projections. Help drive development and updates of actuarial assumptions. • Produce inputs for regulatory filings and build management, finance, and risk reports. • Play an important role in the development and enhancement of actuarial models for existing and new treaties. • Complete and drive special projects assigned on a timely basis. Successful candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: • Fully qualified actuary and Fellow of Society of Actuaries or equivalent designation preferred. • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, or other numerate discipline is required. At least 5 years of experience in actuarial or similar analytical capacity. • Experience with US GAAP, US Stat or Bermuda EBS or other equivalent jurisdictions (including Solvency II or Canadian standards) preferred. Proficiency in Moody's Axis or other actuarial modeling software is required. Experience with data management in R, Python, or related languages is a plus. Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and business writing skills. • Attentive to detail and highly conscientious about deadlines and duties. Requirements
